The Verbatim Formula (TVF) research project began with a desire to find ways of using an artistic practice that would explore young people’s experiences and perceptions of social service-based care in the UK. For the past 4 years TVF has brought together academics, care-experienced young people, policymakers, social workers and universities to develop creative methodologies for listening and self-expression that could positively impact the lives of care- experienced young people.
The exhibition Can You See Me? is the result of a series of workshops developed with young people ranging from 13 to 17 years old from CLICK (Children Living in Care Council) in Wandsworth Borough. Together with creative practitioners, they’ve created poems, recordings and artworks to give an intimate and strong expression of their experience as individuals at the photo exhibition and booklet, “Can you see me?” (click HERE for booklet)
You can scan QR codes on the booklet to hear the poems spoken by some of the young researchers.
